Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory

Our Story:

Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory was established on April 12, 1938 in Issaquah by Bill and Alberta Flintoft and has been in the family for three generations.  Bill and Alberta built their business with a focus on creating a kind, caring, and compassionate environment to support families to celebrate, honor, and remember their love ones. Flintoft’s motto “Our family helping Your family”, embodies their commitment to treating each family like it is their own.

Our Commitment:

This commitment, to honor and respect each family like their own, is still foundational for Tom (2nd Generation) and Allen Flintoft (3rd Generation) who continue to serve families from across Washington and the Pacific Northwest. Flintoft’s has over 80 years of experience caring for families from all walks of life. Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory is committed to offering compassionate, personal and professional care. Family members and loved ones have many options to choose from to reflect, remember and celebrate a life well lived.

Flintoft’s is the only Eastside funeral home with a temperature-controlled holding facility and complete crematory on site. The onsite crematory provides families with the assurance that their loved one never leaves the care or supervision of Flintoft’s licensed professional staff during the entire cremation or burial process.

Flintoft’s extensive offerings include everything from a simple cremation to traditional and Veteran burials or celebration of life services that can be complimented by catered receptions; personalized to meet each family’s wishes. Flintoft’s also specializes in Catholic, Christian, non-denomination and Hindu services. Flintoft’s is committed to building a plan that honors, recognizes, and respects the traditions of each family they serve.

Flintoft’s is always innovating on behalf of the families they serve, with sustainability top of mind, they have expanded their funeral options to include Green Burials and Aqua Cremations. Green, or natural burial is an elegant and environmental friend way to say goodbye. Our processes care for your family member and help protect the environment. Incorporating biodegradable caskets, natural fiber shrouds and simple body preparation with onsite care and oversight which allows us to adhere to a green standard. With our Aqua Cremation offering we help you with environmentally friendly cremation. Aqua Cremation also known as “Bio Cremation,” is a gentle, eco-friendly alternative to flame-based cremation. It is a quiet process that uses water and potassium hydroxide to reduce the body to its basic element of bone ash. The ashes are then returned to the family.

Flintoft’s can help you plan services anywhere you desire including, our own funeral home, our own special events sites at 580 Manor and Flintoft’s Beach, your church, a family home, or local country clubs and gathering places.

Flintoft’s goes above and beyond to make this difficult time as stress free as possible.  Flintoft’s has an onsite print shop that can design and create personalized prayer cards, memorial folders, memorial cards, bookmarks, I remember cards, slide shows, and portraits. Flintoft’s has also established partnerships with local florists, caterers and country clubs with negotiated discounted rates. With impeccable attention to detail, your family can be assured that Flintoft’s will create a warm and meaningful experience from start to finish at the best possible rates.
